1987 Ford Sierra RS Cosworth

1987 Ford Sierra R/S Cosworth. 89,845 miles. Finished in moonstone blue metallic with cashmere grey/red velour and Roma fabric upholstery for the Recaro front seats & rear bench. Under the bonnet is a rebuilt 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, delivering around 204bhp and 205lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels via a Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission. The engine has been rebuilt by Grace Engine Developments in Newbury, and the car has not yet been fully ‘run in’, having covered only 500 miles since the rebuild. The specification includes a full size spare, electrically operated windows and mirrors, a check-control panel, a sunroof, and an original Ford radio cassette player and amplifier. It rides on the correct 15-inch ‘Lattice’ alloy wheels, whilst also featuring Koni adjustable suspension, a Mongoose exhaust system, and polyurethane bushes throughout the suspension system. The handbook, an RS Cosworth supplement, the service record, and a significant history folder of paperwork, including old MOT test certificates, tax discs, and numerous maintenance invoices and parts receipts are included with the car. New original specification brake pipes have been fitted, along with a genuine RS500 front bumper, splitter, and scuttle panel. The latest service was the car’s full engine rebuild, which included fitment of new Wossner pistons, new shell bearings, a new water pump, and new valves among many other parts, with zinc plating of all the bolts and nickel plating of the fuel rails. £64,995 any inspection welcome.
