A superb example of the prized Evolution I homologation special. Finished in its original colour scheme of Monza Red with a Black leather interior. Original Italian market version with a mere 92,000km (57,000 miles) from new. Comes complete with the original stamped service book, handbooks, wallet and toolkit. Imported to the UK in 1997 and just two owners since, the most recent of 12 years. Totally standard specification apart from a neat rear strut brace.
Between February 2008 and March 2010 this car was subjected to a major overhaul that included a new clutch kit, new clutch master and slave cylinder, the front suspension being stripped painted and rebuilt with suspension bush packers, the rear suspension stripped, painted and rebuilt with new suspension bushes where needed. The gearbox was overhauled with new input shaft bearings, new synchro rings on all gears, a new torque splitter and Motul 300 Gear fully synthetic gearbox oil. A new timing belt, balancer shaft belt and auxiliary belt were installed, the valve clearances reset, a new oil filter, fuel filter and B8EGV sparkplugs fitted. The turbo was replaced with good low mileage unit, a new rear brake compensator fitted, new front and rear brake discs, new EBC red stuff front pads and new rear silencer. Offered in excellent condition throughout, the specification includes remote central locking, alarm and immobiliser. |
